Scientific Review & Editorial Standards
Pürblack publishes educational content about shilajit, peptide products, and human performance. Every claim-bearing page goes through a defined review process before it's published.
How we review content
- Scientific review: ingredient mechanisms, published research, and how evidence is interpreted into claims.
- Clinical review: dosing guidance, contraindications, and safety framing.
- Formulation review: accuracy of product composition, sourcing, and manufacturing claims.
- Editorial review: clarity, structure/function compliance, and consistency with FDA/FTC guidance.
Our evidence hierarchy
We distinguish between traditional use of an ingredient, mechanism and preclinical research, product-specific testing (COAs, purity data), clinical evidence in humans, and individual consumer experience. Pages are written to reflect which tier of evidence supports a given claim.
Review cadence
High-risk pages — dosing, safety, and comparative claims — are reviewed every 6–12 months. Any page is re-reviewed immediately when underlying evidence, product formulation, or regulatory guidance changes.
Sources and citations
Citations are drawn from peer-reviewed literature, primarily via PubMed, and from Pürblack's internal and third-party COA data. We link directly to source studies where possible.
Advisory Council
Our Advisory Council reviews formulation and scientific claims across the shilajit and peptide lines. [Link to Advisory Council page.]
