Gummy labels routinely publish neither figure. They'll state a total milligram amount for "Shilajit Extract" or "Shilajit Blend," but rarely state what percentage of that extract is fulvic acid. Two products can both say "1,000 mg Shilajit Extract" and deliver very different amounts of the compound that actually determines dose.

Resin, worked from published standardization: A 250 mg daily dose of a resin standardized to 50% fulvic acid — a real, published specification, not a hypothetical — delivers 125 mg of fulvic acid. The math is direct because both inputs (dose, percentage) are known and disclosed.
Gummy, worked from a label that discloses only what's legally required: Suppose a label states "Shilajit Blend, 3,000 mg" with shilajit listed as the third of five ingredients in that blend, and no fulvic acid percentage stated anywhere. The blend total is real. Shilajit's share of it is not disclosed beyond "somewhere between the largest and smallest components." If shilajit's actual weight within that blend were anywhere from 200 mg to 1,200 mg — a wide but plausible range for a mid-ranked ingredient in a five-part blend — and its fulvic acid content were anywhere from 10% (unstandardized, low-grade material) to 60% (standardized, high-grade extract), the delivered fulvic acid could fall anywhere from roughly 20 mg to over 700 mg. That's more than a 30-fold spread, all consistent with the same truthful "3,000 mg" claim on the front of the label.
The resin case has one plausible answer because the label discloses the two numbers the math needs. The gummy case has a wide range because it doesn't have to.
What the Published Evidence Supports for Shilajit Generally
Within DSHEA's structure/function framework — meaning support for normal function, not treatment of disease — a handful of controlled trials exist for standardized shilajit specifically. An 8-week trial of standardized shilajit at 250 mg and 500 mg daily found the higher dose supported better retention of muscular strength after a fatiguing exercise protocol, alongside a reduction in a marker of exercise-induced muscle breakdown. A 90-day trial in men aged 45–55 found purified shilajit at 250 mg twice daily was associated with favorable changes in hormonal markers relative to placebo. More recent trial data at similar doses report support for exercise recovery markers and free and total testosterone within normal ranges.
Two things are worth holding onto here. First, this evidence is about shilajit — specifically, standardized extract at defined fulvic acid percentages and defined daily doses in the 250–500 mg range. Second, none of it says anything about a specific gummy product, because none of these trials used a gummy. Whether a given gummy's evidence applies depends entirely on whether it delivers a comparable dose of comparably standardized material — which loops back to the arithmetic above.
